It also guides how to enter DFU and recovery mode and how to downgrade the firmware. It’s not the jailbreak or unlock tool but it tells you how to do it by easy tutorials.

firmwareumbrella has noticed something in the latest iPhone firmware. The shsh file has a new key named APITicket. It hints that with this key, Apple can stop us from bypassing their TSS server for local restores like restoring the jailbroken firmware.
So a guess is that in future version of iTunes, the TSS request/response will be handled by the original bootrom of the device. This can stop users from restoring the jailbroken firmware.

GeoHot, the first ever person to unlock and jailbreak the iPhone, has done it again. In the video above, he claims to successfully untethered jailbreak all families of iPhone, iPod touch and probably iPad. The jailbreak works for all iPhones and iPod Touches running 3.1.3 firmware including old and new bootrooms.
