Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta 1 is out and it jailbreaks iOS 4.3 without updating the baseband. Following is the guide to jailbreak iOS 4.3 with Sn0wbreeze 2.3 beta.
Before you go for the guide you must know:
- This jailbreak is for all iOS devices. (excluding Apple TV).
- This jailbreak is tethered. That means you have to jailbreak again if your device reboots. You can make it tethered with iBooty, see the last step.
- This will not unlock your iPhone. The unlock for iOS 4.3 is not available yet. So if you don’t rely on factory unlock, do not upgrade to iOS 4.3.
- Save your SHSH blobs before going for this jailbreak so that you are able to downgrade back to iOS 4.2.1 if something goes wrong. Read this guide.
- I will not be responsible for any loss of your device while attempting this jailbreak, do it on your own risk.
iOS 4.3 got recently released. You can do an untethered jailbreak with iOS 4.3 but there is no unlock available so far. If you rely on a software unlocked phone, it’s a bad idea to upgrade to iOS 4.3. If you still want to upgrade to iOS 4.3 and later willing to go back to iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1, you can downgrade anytime but he downgrade is only possible if you have saved the SHSH blobs to Cydia Server before upgrading to iOS 4.3. Apple announced that iOS 4.3 will be released on March 11. But the download links are live already. If you connected your iOS device to iTunes today, you might have already seen the update notification. Although the iOS page on Apple’s website still says it’s coming soon.

- If you update to baseband 6.15.00, you won’t be able to downgrade the baseband.
- It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you should not upgrade your baseband to 6.15.00. Only do this if you are in need of unlock after updating to iOS 4.2.1 or you are suck with baseband 05.14 or 05.15.
