Today in the morning, Motorola announced the Milestone 2 also known as Droid 2. Main features include 1Ghz TI OMAP processor, Android 2.2, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and also 720p HD video recording/playback.

W3C has announced this Web Performance Working group that will ‘provide methods to measure aspects of application performance of user agent features and APIs’. The first thing that these guys will do is recommending an API that measures the performance of browser navigations. The Web Performance group will be co-chaired with Microsoft and Google.

The famous desktop twitter client TweetDeck is now coming to Android. Android community does not seem to be satisfied by already existing twitter clients so they are expecting a lot from TweetDeck. Official beta version of TweetDeck for Android is going to drop by tomorrow but there is already a leaked build floating around the internet.

The leaked build is TweetDeck v0.9 (that is in beta).  Although guys at TweetDeck tweeted about avoiding this build because it’s old and wait until the real beta drops tomorrow.

TechRadar reports that Google Android phones are outselling Apple iPhones in US so far in 2010. This shows that Google is selling more phones than Apple.

Google Android has gained 27% of market share in the first 6 months of 2010 whereas iPhone has 23% share. Right now, Android phones like Motorola Droid X and HTC Evo are selling rapidly in US.

Now that Apple has confirmed that the software fix which improves how iOS 4 displays signal strength, won’t actually help iPhone 4 with its signal problem, the time has come for Motorola to capitalize on it.

Apparently, it won’t be easy. Apple is doing a fine job of overcoming the critics and selling millions of iPhones. But if Droid X has what Motorola claims, then it might prove to be a worthy opponent for Apple’s smartphone.

While the company is engaged in a fierce advertising campain against Apple’s iPhone 4, we thought it would be nice to compare a few interesting features of the two Rivals.
