Windows Phone 7 device lineup is finally here. Microsoft unveiled today the lineup of devices running Windows Phone 7 Operating System planned to be sold in 30 countries via 60 carrier partners.

Here we have a new Windows Phone 7 Advertisement that was shown before the Secret Cinema screening of ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. The video is available for viewing on the official Youtube channel of WindowsPhoneUK.

The 1 min video shows a Windows Phone 7 approaching from a distance which, at first, seems as if someone is riding a horse towards the Screen. Then it says “The Revolution is coming…”.

Microsoft-Windows-Phone-7-Series-AsusWindows Phone 7 has been officially released to manufacturing. That means the final version of code has been officially sent to manufacturers to make their devices ready to be shipped later this year.

Some last minute changes as reported by Neowin are:

  • Facebook contacts filtering in the People hub
  • Facebook "Like" capability from the People hub
  • Various user interface updates, including a new Search button in the contacts list.

    Just like iTunes for iPhone, Zune desktop client provides a center for user’s Windows Phone 7 data. These screenshots of Zune desktop client published by WMPowerUser show how the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace works on the Zune desktop client. One can also write reviews for the apps. The UI is of course ‘Metro’: simple and elegant.

    At gdgt live Seattle (show hosted by gdgt). Windows Phone 7 made a public appearance on a booth setup by Microsoft. The response was positive and the people look impressed:

    There is one thing that can be misleading, the dude at 4:40 says “No listening to Pandora while you look at your email”. Manan explains in this post that Windows Phone 7 can do background audio if the app is programmed to do so. That means if Pandora is programmed to do background audio, one can have a look at email while listening to the music on Pandora.
