Just like it’s bigger cousin iPad, iPhone 4 is also equiped with a better GPS chip in comparison to iPhone 3GS.

Earlier iFixit had reported that they found Broadcom BCM4750 chip during iPhone 4 dissection. iPad 3G also benefits from the same chip. Users have also confirmed iPhone 4 GPS’s speed and accuracy to be supperior to it’s predecessors.

Apple first introduced GPS in iPhone 3G (back in 2008).
