ih8sn0w team has just released sn0wbreeze 2.2 that can jailbreak iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 iPod Touch 2G, 3G, 4G and iPad and Apple TV.

It also preserves the baseband for iPhone so that you can enjoy the unlock. Here are the step by step instructions to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1.

The jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4 is available (check the guide to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 with GreenP0ison RC 5 here) but updating your iPhone 4 to iOS 4.2.1 upgrades the 1.59.00 baseband that makes your iPhone unlockable (so far) if you rely on unlock.

The following method lets you update to iOS 4.2.1 without updating the baseband and you can use greenp0ison RC5 to jailbreak without loosing the ability to unlock.

We already know that there is no jailbreak available for iOS 4.1 yet and OS 4.1 comes with a new 2.10.4 baseband that makes Ultrasn0w 1.1-1 to stop working on iPhone 4. So if you update to iOS 4.1 and then downgrade again to iOS 4.0.x by using SHSH blobs, you won’t be able to jailbreak because of the updated baseband. So right now if you want to keep you iPhone 4 jailbreakable after downgrading from iOS 4.1, you need to be on 1.59.00 baseband.

iphone-4-andiphone-3gsA user named codeblue has discovered this unconfirmed way that allows you to downgrade from iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1 without the need of saved SHSH blobs. This can help users to jailbreak their iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS(new bootrom) who just got a new iPhone that’s already on iOS 4.0.2 or have accidently upgraded to iOS 4.0.2.

This method is not tested by me and many others are saying it didn’t work for them, however you can try and checkout if it works for you. If you make a mess, I am not responsible for any loss. Always backup your data before following such guides, you follow this guide on your own risk.

FaceTime is awesome but originally it gives you maximum of 15 Frame Per Seconds of video. Improving FPS can add more excitement and originality in a video chat as minimum FPS recommended for a smooth seeming video to the eye are 23 to 30.

FaceTime Mod that is available on Cydia that increases the support of maximum FPS for FaceTime to 30 FPS (best quality can be achieved with a good Wi-Fi connection).
