In response to Apple TV’s 99 cent TV show rentals, Amazon has came up with a better deal. Instead of renting, you can now purchase TV shows for 99 cents on Amazon. The episodes are from ABC and Fox. Amazon’s collection is not only large but also available these episodes are available both in high and standard definition with same price.
Compete seasons are available for $10 to $20 for many shows, this is cheaper than retail DVDs.
Amazon is gambling to steal away customers. Amazon hopes to get more customers and channels to get in for this deal. PaidContent has a good post explaining this.
